Managing Principal

Edgar L. Parrish is Managing Principal and an owner of Precipio Wealth Management LLC, which he co-founded in 2009. Edgar focuses on the direction of the firm and chairs its Investment Committee as Chief Investment Officer.

Professional Background

Prior to Precipio, Edgar spent 20 years in investment management consulting in senior officer positions with Shearson Lehman Brothers, and the Parrish Consulting Group at PaineWebber / UBS and Merrill Lynch. Earlier in his career at 26, he was the youngest named Senior Vice President of Wheat First Securities. Edgar served as an arbitrator for the Hearing Board of the New York Stock Exchange. He served to Captain during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force Reserve Medical Service Corps.

Education and Certifications

Edgar is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree. He served for 12 years as a member of the McIntire School Advisory Board and is a member of the University’s Lawn Society.

Edgar holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® designation from the CFP Board of Standards, and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary^® (AIF^®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies, FI360. Additionally, he holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst^® (CIMA^®) designation in conjunction with the Investments & Wealth Institute and The Wharton School program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Edgar is a member of the Financial Planning Association and a Life Member of the Reserve Officers Association and the University of Virginia Alumni Association.
